The Youth Agenda

The Youth Agenda opens its Lilongwe secretariat

TYA has opened its secretariat in Lilongwe, starting Phase 1 of the 2026-2029 plan: registration, systems and a district-first national footprint.

The Youth Agenda has opened its secretariat at Synergy Co-works on Songwe Street in Lilongwe. The opening marks the start of Phase 1 of our 2026-2029 Strategic Plan.

What Phase 1 means

Phase 1 is about foundations. We are pursuing registration with the NGO Board of Malawi, building our financial and safeguarding systems, and preparing for our Northern launch in Rumphi and Mzimba in 2027.

We chose a district-first national footprint: 12 priority districts across all three regions, selected on documented poverty, chronic food insecurity and thin civil society presence.

Perspective

Young people in Malawi are not waiting to be included. We are already leading. What we need are systems that finally catch up.

Building in public

We will publish what is in place, what is in progress and when it will be done. Our Governance and Transparency page is updated as each step is completed.
