Leo Tristan Pondamali

Founder and Executive Director

Leo is a legal and gender rights expert with hands-on experience in programme management, grant writing, digital rights advocacy, GBV prevention and community mobilisation across Malawi.

He previously served as Programmes Manager at a women-led nonprofit in Blantyre, building work on digital rights, technology-facilitated GBV, GBV response and youth economic empowerment.

He founded TYA in 2026 to put that experience to work for marginalised communities, with priority for the most underserved districts in all three regions.
